Two centuries have elapsed since the hero Bartz and his allies liberated Planet R—a realm where crystals govern nature"s forces—from the menace of Exdeath. Yet agents of wizard Ra Devil have seized the Earth, Fire and Water crystals. Possessing three of the four, Ra Devil now aims to acquire the Wind Crystal, the missing key needed to summon the cataclysmic deity Deathgyunos. Linaly, a fledgling summoner and Bartz"s direct descendant, resides with her grandfather Hassam. After receiving a foreboding note about the Wind Crystal, Hassam sets off for the Wind Temple. Worried for his safety, Linaly proposes they travel together. On their way they meet Prettz, a boisterous but friendly swordsman who is drawn to the girl and joins them for his own enigmatic motives. During a skirmish, an antlion wounds Hassam, rendering him incapacitated. Consequently the task of retrieving the Wind Crystal falls to Linaly, with Prettz acting as her protector as they press onward through perilous trials for their future.
