Harukaze Doremi thinks she is the most unlucky girl alive. Her parents constantly quarrel, her little sister mocks her, and her crush is infatuated with another woman. She once imagined that a simple wave of a magic wand would change everything—until reality proved otherwise. A fateful encounter with an actual witch turns Doremi into a novice sorceress, and she discovers she is far from adept. Together with two companions, they must devote themselves to mastering spellcraft if they hope to become proficient witches. Their success hinges on concentration and perseverance in their studies. The trio will need every ounce of fortune to clear the witch examinations and earn full status. Only after that can Doremi settle her debt to Majorika, the witch who saved her. Until then, she will continue as a powerless, inept apprentice.
