Youko Nakajima has always dreamed of a simple life. She follows orders, earns high marks, serves as class president, and assists classmates whenever possible—but her crimson hair keeps her from fitting in. Her easy‑going nature lets peers exploit her, leaving her without true friends. Despite her efforts, she feels invisible and yearns for someone to truly understand her. Her quiet demeanor masks a fierce desire for belonging.
One ordinary morning, a man claiming to come from another realm storms into Youko's classroom and bows before her. The tall, blond‑haired stranger—Keiki—asserts that Youko is his master and should sit upon the throne of his kingdom. Their encounter, however, ends abruptly when Keiki is pursued by otherworldly creatures known as youma. He manages to flee with Youko into his world, but two classmates—Ikuya Asano and Yuka Sugimoto—are dragged into the chaos as well. Their ordeal is only beginning, for the youma assault leaves them separated from Keiki. Stranded in a foreign land, these ordinary youths must learn to survive or perish. They must navigate unfamiliar customs, strange allies, and looming threats.
