The story revolves around a perilous and enigmatic island known simply as "G." Long ago, the powerful deity Gestalt was banished to Earth and found refuge on that very island. Speaking its name is forbidden, for the people feared his wrath so intensely that they treated the word itself as a curse. Father Oliver, once a member of his order, abandoned his post and set sail for G to uncover its mysteries. While there he meets Ohri, a young woman whose talent in magic proves invaluable.
Meanwhile, the head of the order hires a dark elf named Suzu to track Oliver down and bring him back. Suzu locates the priest with ease, but she does not anticipate the strength of Ohri"s sorcery. The girl temporarily defeats Suzu, allowing Oliver and her to continue their quest. Their journey is further complicated by the island"s own dangers—monsters roam its shores, and wandering magic-users pose constant threats to their progress.
