A youth strolls toward home across the city and discovers an unfamiliar trail which he follows. Rain begins to fall, so he takes refuge with a young woman who offers help. He becomes enamored of her. She gifts him a feather, promising that if he keeps it with him, they will reunite. He retraces the route back to his house, but the next morning he cannot locate it again. As years pass, he forgets her. Half a century later, he returns to the same metropolis and dreams of her while still faithfully holding the feather.
