Long ago, Kanna, a princess and the sole survivor of a winged lineage, was confined within a fortress as her presence frightened the world. Yet when she encountered a warrior named Ryuuya, love blossomed and she revealed her longing to explore beyond the walls and seek her mother. Ryuuya endeavored to grant her desires, but his attempts failed; magic bound Kanna skyward and doomed her to endless agony. The fortress walls were tall and iron, echoing with the cries of those who dared approach. Kanna's wings, though tattered, still shimmered with a faint golden glow that frightened even the bravest knights.
Centuries later, Yukito, a descendant of Ryuuya, arrives in a sleepy village just before the yearly celebration hoping to earn coin. When he meets an enigmatic girl named Misuzu, memories of his mother's warning resurface: "When you journey forth and discover the rebirth of a winged maiden, wield your strength to liberate her." Yukito's arrival was quiet, his footsteps barely disturbing the dust of old paths.
Yukito and Misuzu"s destinies soon intertwine, each growing fond of the other. But upon realizing Misuzu's link to history, Yukito must choose whether to depart or attempt to shatter the curse that has shackled Kanna for ages today.
