Under flickering streetlamps, damp alleys, and a bustling crowd, the Second Kowloon Walled City—though its earlier, demolished version was even more dilapidated—sparks a peculiar nostalgia that its inhabitants cherish. Within this crumbling yet adored enclave resides Reiko Kujirai, a 32‑year‑old real estate agent who is infatuated with her younger colleague Hajime Kudou, two years her junior. Despite their differences, they share enough harmony to savor the city's delights together.
Yet all shatters when Kudou, half‑awake, unexpectedly kisses Kujirai—apparently echoing the affection she has yet to voice. When he later confesses that he mistook her for someone else, Kujirai is pulled into a chain of events that unearths a forgotten past.
