After a victorious clash atop Tokyo Tower, the Mew Mew squad takes a brief pause to regroup. With Ichigo Momomiya and Masaya Aoyama confessing their mutual affection, Ichigo delights in spending precious moments with her new partner. Yet the short lull is abruptly cut off, and soon the team faces another fierce confrontation against Chimera Anima. During that ensuing battle, Ichigo is thrust into serious peril and nearly loses her life.
Just as hope seems lost, an enigmatic Blue Knight appears and rescues Ichigo, declaring he was destined to guard her before vanishing into the ether, leaving only a lingering sense of mystery. Bearing the world"s fate upon them and questioning the Blue Knight"s true identity, the Mew Mew girls must juggle extraterrestrial combat with their everyday lives while still pursuing their personal dreams.
