The Integrated Empire Foundation, a conglomerate of former nation-states, now governs global affairs through corporate and military branches. More crucially, the Invertia spawned a new human lineage endowed with extraordinary physical gifts—the Genestella. The Genestella are celebrated for speed, strength, and agility, making them sought after by the six academies that host Festas. Their finest are selected worldwide to enroll in the premier institutions, where they compete in spectacle duels known as Festas.
Ayato Amagiri entered Seidoukan Academy on a scholarship, yet the institution has been slipping in performance.
