After a failed romantic confession, Masamune Okumura seeks refuge in the realm of anime and manga. As a second‑year student and president of the Manga Research Club, he enjoys a quiet life watching his favorite angelic heroine Liliel's adventures.
At the start of the school year, Masamune"s routine is disrupted when he encounters first‑year Ririsa Amano, a devoted cosplay enthusiast. Though initially hesitant, Masamune is persuaded by the determined girl to serve as her personal photographer for a photo series celebrating their shared idol, Liliel.
While immersing himself in cosplay and photo editing, Masamune unexpectedly reunites with childhood friend Mikari Tachibana, who has taken up modeling to impress her admired senior. Realizing that mere modeling fails to capture the otaku"s attention, Mikari joins the club and becomes a cosplayer in hopes of winning Masamune's affection. Yet Masamune"s passion for fictional figures may not extend to those who portray them.
