The Hoshisato line of sorcerers possesses a unique privilege to access these relics, and they have taken it upon themselves to restore each one to its proper place.
Although still a novice, Kana "Hatena" Hoshisato is eager to assist her parents Mamoru and Maeve in their mission, striving to grow stronger with each effort. At the same time, her childhood companion Makoto Shiranui has arrived at their estate to train in magic under his father"s guidance, a pledge they made long ago. Hatena is thrilled to reunite with her friend, only to be deeply disappointed when the person she has imagined as a girl turns out to be a boy, turning their meeting into a bitter encounter.
Soon Makoto learns of the Artifacts and discovers the true identities of the sorcerers he admires.
