Following the alleged demise of its 99th monarch, the Holy Britannian Empire disintegrated, allowing its former dominions to reclaim sovereignty. Most of these regions joined the United Federation of Nations, a coalition dedicated to perpetual peace in the hope of restoring balance, yet vestiges of the tyrannical regime persist but the shadows linger. One such remnant, Neo-Britannia, seized Japan"s Hokkaido after assassinating its governor, Juugo Sumeragi.
The Seven Shining Stars, a Hokkaido-based resistance unit faces a deadlock as the rebels' resources dwindle in its quest to topple Neo-Britannia, its iron grip crushing dissent across the archipelago in a desperate bid. It summons the Nameless Mercenaries: brothers Rozé, a brilliant tactician; and Ash, an elite Knightmare pilot. Though Britannian by birth, Rozé and Ash have earned renown for defending the Japanese populace and eliminating imperial officials. With their support, the insurgents may finally reclaim lost ground and avert a new era of oppression.
