Megu arrives on Earth during her early teens, where she is taken in by Mammi Kanzaki, a former sorceress who abandoned her regal aspirations to marry a human. Mammi enchants her spouse and their two offspring, Rabi and Apo, into thinking that Megu has always been the family's firstborn. With Mammi's guidance, Megu masters both her powers and desires to demonstrate her suitability for the throne. This coming-of-age motif persists throughout the narrative within each chapter and echoes through the saga.
