After his father's death, the responsibility of supporting the household settled on Tanjirou Kamado's shoulders. Though they lived in poverty on a secluded mountain, the Kamados enjoyed a calm and content existence. One day, Tanjirou set out to the nearby village to earn a modest sum by selling charcoal. As dusk fell, he was compelled to seek refuge in the home of a mysterious stranger who warned him about carnivorous demons prowling the night forest. The next morning, upon returning home he found a gruesome scene—his entire family had been massacred. Even more shocking was that the only survivor was his sister Nezuko, who had been transformed into a ravenous demon. Fueled by fury and sorrow, Tanjirou vowed to avenge his kin and protect the last of his loved ones. Together with a secret organization known as the Demon Slayer Corps, he resolved to hunt down the demons and preserve whatever humanity remained in his sister. Despite the looming threat, he trains relentlessly, mastering breathing techniques to confront these nightmarish foes and seeks allies among fighters.
