The legend surrounding the 4:44 rite involves a radio set emitting tones beside the Akeyuki Sacred Tree precisely at 4:44, sending listeners to another realm. When Asuka Tsuchimiya and her companions—Nana Nanase, Mia Silverstone, Yuu Tounaka, and Chloe Morisu—choose to carry out this rite as a Crystal Radio Research Club project, they are stunned when it succeeds. The five venture into a parallel plane, called a fragment, where they encounter an eerily familiar girl—Asuka"s counterpart from that world. This version of Asuka earns the name Seriouska because of her grave demeanor and combat prowess. Seriouska informs them that all parallel worlds confront a looming peril, the Twilight. As it drains each realm of its possibilities, Seriouska vows to eliminate the figure behind the Twilight, known as the Twilight King, to halt his assault on the multiverse. Akanesasu Shoujo chronicles how the five girls embrace their authentic selves while hunting for the Twilight King. Yet the key to stopping the encroaching Twilight may lie nearer than they suspect. Their journey reveals that courage and unity are the true forces capable of reversing the Twilight's spread.
