Minato Kiyomizu awakens in a hospital bed and learns he has been unconscious for 203 days. A car crash erased all his memories of middle school, but he eventually remembers the glory he once had in water polo and longs to resume where he stopped. Realizing how far his current self has fallen, Minato embarks on rigorous rehab, hoping to rebuild a life that might not involve the sport.
On his first day at Yamanami High, Minato is instantly reminded of his former skill and a vow he made. Despite knowing he has become inept, he signs up for the school"s water‑polo team. He and his teammates must relearn fundamentals while recruiting new members to fill the seven‑player requirement. In doing so, Minato seeks to revive his buried talent and once again become a celebrated Japanese athlete. He reflects on the friendships he lost and the lessons learned from teammates, hoping that rekindling passion will bring him back to the stage.
