The girls learn from principal Ryuko that Taiwan is being considered as the destination for their school excursion. Because Taiwan ranks among a handful of leading cycling countries, she orders the cycling club to travel there for an initial scouting trip. Yet upon arrival in Taiwan, Hiromi and Sandy lose contact, leaving the rest of the team scrambling to regroup for the journey.
