Natsuza Yuzuki has chased rugby as a left‑winger since childhood, growing up on the sidelines of local matches. Once he entered Doushisha University, he quickly rose to prominence in the Kansai University League.
His aspirations were crushed when a severe motorbike crash caused a spinal hernia, ruling him out of playing forever. With no other position available except manager, he accepted the role and aims for his squad to win a league championship. He organizes training and tactics.
Yuzuki"s side is an odd collection: his friend and full‑back Seiichirou Jingyouji, known for calm presence; first‑year Yasunari Tsuru, who despises Natsuza and takes over his former left‑wing spot; and Yuu Mashiro, who battles to maintain his place as scrum half. Tsuru"s play often disrupts opponents, while Mashiro keeps the ball moving.
Even though Natsuza pours all his energy into coaching the team toward a title, they still feel unfinished. A year earlier, Ibuki Ueka—once Doushisha"s brilliant fly‑half celebrated for tactical brilliance and leadership—abruptly left rugby, and now Natsuza is resolved to bring him back.
