Yomi Takeda and Tamaki Yamazaki adored baseball from childhood. They would always throw a ball together whenever they could, and during those moments Yomi uncovered a knack for pitching that felt almost supernatural. The two friends vowed to keep playing baseball into adulthood, but they soon drifted apart. Over the years Tamaki honed her skills as a catcher, while Yomi"s impressive throws never translated into lasting success.
Choosing to abandon her dream, Yomi enrolled in her first year at Shin Koshigaya High School. Determined to stay away from the sport, she nevertheless crossed paths with twins Yoshino and Ibuki Kawaguchi, both passionate about baseball. She also ran into Tamaki, and like old times they chose to throw a ball—rekindling Yomi"s longing to pitch.
Together, Yomi and Tamaki pursued their childhood pledge. With Yoshino and Ibuki by their side, they worked to resurrect the dormant girls" baseball squad at their school. As more teammates joined, the group finally filled out, and now Shin Koshigaya"s new ambition is to capture the national championship in a fierce and spirited battle against the nation's toughest teams, their determination fuels every practice and game for the honor of their school.
