One day, second‑year student Chika Takami from Uranohoshi High School was walking through town when she saw a performance of the familiar school‑idol group μ's on a large screen. The girl was moved by their show, listened to all the songs again and firmly decided to form her own group for participation in the "Live Love!" project. However, difficulties did not take long to appear: unlike the girls from μ's, Chika does not live in Tokyo but in the provincial seaside town of Numazu, where idols are not very popular. With the support of her best friend Yo Watanabe, Chika decides to start small—create a school‑idol club at her school. She meets potential candidates and persuades them to join the club, but this is no easy task. Moreover, the head of the student council does not like idols and refuses to grant permission for creating the club! It seems nothing will work out. But Chika does not give up and encourages everyone around her with lines from μ's" song: "Never, ever give up, and that day will definitely come!" All in order to realize her dream—to sing together with everyone on the shimmering stage of the "Live Love!" project.
