The tale follows two sisters who serve as "noroiya" (cursers) wielding sorcery in a fantastical realm. One day, an enormous tree abruptly emerges within a woodland, with skyscrapers resembling those from our reality entwined in its branches. The sisters venture to investigate and are transported into the real world, landing amid a bustling cityscape in the bright daylight, and their fear grows. There, they meet two youngsters who recoil at their unexpected arrival; the children flee home, only to discover that their parents have transformed into monsters.
