In this world, magic resembles quantum physics, and spells are like computer programs—they"re also called Codes. As with quantum physics, magic is the domain of a few; an innate gift must be carefully cultivated through study and training. Adepts are divided into classic mages, who create Code intuitively, and modern mages, who use computers and compilers. True masters are highly valued because they can do almost everything—from spells for commercial success to time travel. The series depicts the everyday life of a small but renowned magical school, Anehara, run by 25‑year‑old charismatic Misa—one of the best modern mages. Her unfortunate younger brother, Sosiro, bears all the household responsibilities, while her eternal friend‑rival, classic mage Yumiko‑Kristina Itinosé, keeps everyone entertained. The school has only two students: diligent Kaho and the "quiet terror" Koemi, who possesses a unique gift—she can transform any, however powerful, foreign magic into… basins! Thus the main question of the plot: will Misa"s, Yumiko‑Kristina"s and the other characters" pedagogical efforts lead to anything, or will the series simply end up with a big copper basin?
