Nanoha Takamachi, a typical third‑grade student, cherishes her family and friends above all else. One afternoon, after dreaming of an injured ferret, she encounters the same creature in reality and saves it. The ferret is actually Yuuno Scrya, a mage from another realm who seeks to gather the 21 dispersed Jewel Seeds before they wreak havoc across the cosmos. Unable to retrieve them alone, Yuuno gives Nanoha an intelligent device called "Raising Heart" and starts training her in magic.
The potent Jewel Seeds, however, draw those with malicious motives. A fellow mage named Fate Testarossa is intent on amassing the seeds for a shadowy agenda, yet her grave expression hints that there may be more beneath her surface. Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha: The Movie 1st revisits the original series, depicting how two young sorcerers and their intense feelings influence their deeds.
