Evolution continues! Among Homo sapiens a new race with extraordinary abilities is gradually emerging – some have mastered the elements, gained incredible strength and speed; others can read minds or pass through walls. Fear, curiosity, rejection, aggression – this is the reaction of ordinary people to those whose existence has ceased to be a secret from the public. Those in power seek control over mutants; some mutants openly declare that, as they are the "next step," they must unite and rule over "humans." Only a small group of gifted individuals is concerned not with power or personal gain, but with seeking harmony in the new world, helping people and their own kind. They are simply called "X‑Men." After many battles, great victories, and bitter defeats, Professor X"s group dispersed. But another alarming signal comes (of course!) from Japan, and a brief investigation shows that the danger threatens not individual people but the fate of the world. And this means that Cyclops, Storm, Beast, and Wolverine must get back on their X‑Plane and fly to the islands in the Tohoku region, where they are most needed. The disappearance of young mutant Hisaiko points to the roots of a far more sinister conspiracy. But who doubts success? Japan has yet to see such an invasion by Western superheroes!
