When a modest trader named Banaza is called to the enchanted realm of Klyrode in another plane, its people expect him to become the champion capable of defeating the looming Dark Army to protect and inspire. Yet Banaza fails to acquire any truly extraordinary abilities at level one, as typical hero candidates do, and he cannot return to his former world. To compensate, he is dispatched to reside in a deep remote forest. Upon arrival, Banaza levels up once and instantly at once attains boundless powers that he cannot fathom how to use. To stay unnoticed, Banaza alters his look and quickly adopts the alias Flio. While away from home, he encounters a youthful demi‑human girl named Fenrys, who seems to be hunting for the same nearby deep forest Flio was sent to. However, she strikes him and discloses her true form—a lupine demon. Fortunately, Flio's unmatched sorcery overwhelms Fenrys, and she pledges unwavering everlasting deeply devotion to him. Nevertheless, Flio declines to dominate her; instead the pair feigns a marital bond and begins a fresh for life together.
