In Kyoto, maiko—apprentice geisha—excel at traditional dance and music. Their poise and artistry are said to captivate every observer with an enchanting presence, leaving hearts aflame.
Mai Ichinose, Riko Kikuzuki and Midori Aikawa are girls determined to become maiko. They refine their craft and forge trust, yet the pursuit of ambition could threaten their friendship. They support other practice and share stories that bind them, but looming competition threatens to unravel their unity.
Upon hearing of an upcoming festival, excitement surges. Yet they discover that only two maiko may represent each house. The trio then grows apart as each strives to prove their worthiness. In the end, they face a choice: pursue the dream reach or preserve their friendship. They weigh the cost of ambition against loyalty, echoing rhythms that guided their mentors.
