After thwarting a global threat, Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama turns his attention back to the exhausting routine of everyday life—beginning with the anxiety‑laden school career questionnaire and future plans. At the same time he keeps helping his mentor Arataka Reigen and the office"s newest trainee, Katsuya Serizawa, to resolve clients" supernatural mysteries. While fulfilling these obligations, Mob strives for greater autonomy in both his esper and ordinary existence, and works toward integrating more fully into the people around him.
Yet fresh paranormal and everyday obstacles shake Mob"s emotional steadiness, forcing him to face the world head‑on and his responsibilities. As he pushes toward maturity, Mob must settle his inner turmoil and personal growth and rethink the innocence he has clung to for so long.
