The corporate badminton arena is far from simple. Though once hailed as a child prodigy, Mikoto Shiratori has failed to reach his potential while representing Mitsuhoshi Bank. A past mishap forced him to shift from doubles to singles, yet he still cannot deliver results, leaving his employer disappointed. After being dismissed by the bank, Mikoto signs with Sunlight Beverage's corporate badminton squad. Unexpectedly, training takes place in the evenings and he also works in the company's sales division during the day. Though this arrangement is not unheard of, Mikoto had assumed he was only recruited for sport. To add to the challenge, he must play doubles despite his hesitation. Adjusting proves difficult, and Mikoto questions whether joining the firm was wise. Yet as he learns more about his new teammates, he may find the resolve to push his badminton career forward.
