Otaku Sakamichi Onoda has just started high school and plans to join the anime club. In middle school, Onoda had no friends with whom he could talk about anime, games, Akihabara, and other things dear to every otaku"s heart. He hoped he could do this with new friends in the anime club, but learns that it has been disbanded. To restore the club he tries to find four other students. Due to his build, Onoda rides a mamacharia, an awkward bicycle he mainly uses for short trips to pick up groceries or go to Akihabara, where Onoda goes every week. Cyclist Syunke Imaizumi notices Onoda during his training as he rides up a steep road. Freshman and racing cyclist Seokuti Naruko meets Onoda in Akihabara when buying Gundam models for his younger brothers. Both are attracted by Onoda"s mamacharia. Later it turns out that they all attend the same school. Naruko and Imaizumi try to convince Onoda to join the cycling club, but will he agree?
