One hundred boys, each enamored with baseball, form the Seidou High School team for competition every season. On any team, the Ace is the star of the game. Beyond the primary stars, many players chase that coveted role; each possesses unique strengths and flaws, embarking on personal emotional quests to rise as the finest version of themselves in the season's tide and through. Ryousuke Kominato, famed at Seidou for his exceptional fielding and fierce aura, commands respect even though he is diminutive in size and presence. Together with partner Youichi Kuramochi, they form the backbone of the team's defensive line in the solid diamond. Youichi is eclipsed by younger brother Haruichi, whose reverence for Ryousuke rivals his own athletic prowess on the field in the game. Alongside roommate Eijun Sawamura, the squad recalls their journey toward Seidou High in the past.
