On the world of Tamagotchi, Mametchi—a celebrated inventor—has just completed his latest device, the Forwarding Machine. During its inaugural test, the playful Kuchipatchi inadvertently misdirects the machine"s trajectory, causing a child from Earth named Tanpopo to be whisked onto Tamagotchi Planet. Though the young girl is overjoyed to meet her beloved Tamagotchis face‑to‑face, she quickly learns that returning home is impossible. Mametchi"s parents promise to build a rocket capable of sending her back to the exact moment she departed, and relieved, Tanpopo enjoys the days she will spend with Mametchi on Tamagotchi Planet until she can go home. Yet as a chain of bizarre incidents threatens the planet, Tanpopo and her friends discover they must shoulder responsibilities far beyond simply getting her back to Earth.
