Set fifty years after the original, Kotetsushin Jeeg introduces a fresh ensemble—chiefly Kenji Kusanagi, a high‑schooler who transforms into Kotetsushin Jeeg to confront the abrupt return of Haniwa Genjin, the clay‑robotic Phantom Gods from the Jamada Empire governed by Queen Himika. Supporting roles feature Tsubaki Tamashiro, Miwa Uzuki"s granddaughter, and Kyou Misumi. Other key figures from the initial series, such as Shouji and Yuki, also return. Together, they aid Kenji in battling the looming threat.
