Peace has finally settled over Ikebukuro, yet many strange events have turned into everyday sights across the district. One example is the police"s relentless chase of Celty Sturluson, known as the Headless Rider. Additionally, a hefty reward has been offered for her capture, spurring gangs throughout the city to hunt the otherworldly figure. At the same time, Mikado Ryuugamine encounters Aoba Kuronuma, a shadowy junior with hidden motives, who confesses knowledge of Mikado"s real persona. However, Ikebukuro"s calm is fleeting when a new menace surfaces: a killer who adopts the alias "Hollywood," infamous for donning a distinct mask at each crime. As these incidents intertwine once more, the city is plunged into fresh turmoil that threatens to engulf all of Ikebukuro in disorder. The authorities scramble to coordinate their efforts, while citizens watch anxiously from their homes as rumors spread about hidden conspiracies in shadows.
