Sasahara Natsuki works as a struggling bounty hunter in a realm where monsters and humans coexist. Most of her assignments deal with beasts violating human rights, which the law shields from their typically stronger counterparts. As a half-human, half-cat‑beast hybrid, Natsuki bridges both cultures and strives to honor each while upholding the statutes. She receives help from a werewolf named Batanen, who hesitates to confess his affection for her; another wolf called Tommy; and a nine‑tailed fox demon named Sakura, who plots to devour Natsuki in order to finish her tails and unlock full power. Her reputation is modest but growing among human and beast.
