The narrative focuses on the Sanada siblings during their adolescence. Nobuyuki and Yukimura pledge to safeguard the powerful Sanada house for one another. Yet, contemplating how best to preserve the lineage, Yukimura resolves and convenes with Mitsunari Ishida and Naoe Kanetsugu at the site he reaches. Meanwhile, his older brother Nobuyuki is preoccupied with the self‑interested demands of the Tokugawa faction in the turbulent political climate of the era during the mid‑sixth century.
