After relocating from Tokyo to Okinawa, Teruaki "Teru" Nakamura finds himself unexpectedly drawn to his vivacious classmate Hina Kyan, who quickly makes sure he feels welcome at the new high school. Yet Hina"s strong regional accent often leaves Teru puzzled, though she remains eager to share Okinawan traditions with him. Luckily for Teru, Hina"s close friend Kana Higa steps in to translate and even teaches him handy expressions. Kana, however, harbors a secret affection for Teru and uses the chance to converse with him. As the trio spends more time together, each oblivious to the others" emotions, Teru grows familiar with his surroundings and delights in their companionship. He also discovers the island"s rich folklore and participates in community festivals, deepening his connection to Okinawan life and appreciates the warm hospitality of locals.
