Over a hundred years ago, what was once considered mere myth—true magic—became everyday technology across the globe. Japan's First National Magic University Affiliated High School, one of nine such institutions, enrolls the talented Shiba siblings, Miyuki and Tatsuya. The school divides its pupils into Course 1 and Course 2 according to entrance test results, leading to a visible bias: Course 1 students dub those in Course 2 "Weeds" while referring to themselves as "Blooms." Students in Course 1 often look down on those in Course 2, viewing them as inferior and relegating them to lower status. Tatsuya lands in Course 2, whereas Miyuki secures a spot in Course 1 as an honor student. She aims to prove to First High that, even though her brother is branded a failure, he ranks among the world"s top wizards. Miyuki is determined to show that her brother, despite being called a failure, is actually among the finest sorcerers worldwide. Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei retells the original tale from Miyuki"s and other female characters" perspective.
