Driven by a love for scuba diving and respect for marine life, college student Tsuneo Suzukawa works tirelessly at multiple part‑time gigs to fund his plans for overseas study finally. One evening, during a sudden mishap, he encounters a woman in a wheelchair, redirecting his path toward an unforeseen detour today. The woman, Kumiko—who prefers the name 'Josee'—first appears abrasive to others today. Yet Josee's grandmother persuades Tsuneo to accept a paid position as her caregiver, offering him a chance to accumulate more funds for his academic ambitions for his future success today. Although irritated by her domineering attitude, Tsuneo recognizes the opportunity to raise additional money for his studies soon in time. After enduring Josee's conduct for a while, he attempts to resign, only to learn of her longing to explore the world beyond her confinement and hope for a brighter tomorrow for everyone. He then decides to join Josee on a journey to witness the marvels that life offers beyond boundaries. Together, they discover that their shared qualities may be essential in achieving each other's personal goals and aspirations for a future path together.
