Third‑year high schooler Jirou Yakuin harbors affection for his childhood friend and classmate, Shiori Sakurazaka. Consequently, he wishes to be matched with her during the marriage‑simulation: their institution"s routine of randomly pairing boys and girls to act as fictitious spouses while observers track and evaluate their closeness. Meanwhile, spirited Akari Watanabe desires to be paired with her idol, the charismatic and handsome Minami Tenjin.
To their dismay, Jirou and Akari discover that they have not only been paired together but also that Shiori and Minami are matched! They realize the competition is tougher than they imagined and unpredictable.
