After spending most of her years abroad in Africa, Rinku Aimoto has returned to Japan to enroll at Yoba Academy, a school famed for its popular DJ units—ensembles of DJs, singers, and dancers. There she encounters Maho Akashi, an up‑coming DJ who introduces Rinku to the fundamentals of mixing. The pair attend a show by Yoba"s celebrated unit Peaky P-key, and inspired, they resolve to create their own group.
Soon Rinku and Maho bring on board Muni Oonaruto, a gifted artist who was Rinku"s childhood companion, and Rei Togetsu, a timid yet devoted pianist. Now called Happy Around, the trio intends to leverage their growing camaraderie and shared skills to rise as one of Japan"s leading DJ acts in the nation's vibrant music scene and beyond today.
