Miu Takigawa watches the world from the shield of her bangs, satisfied with drifting quietly through existence. Shy and reserved, she finds it hard to speak or even grin at patrons during her part‑time shift, yet she labors nonstop to care for her mother and beloved little sister Haru. A surprise hits when a letter from the entertainment firm GIP lands, declaring she has been selected as a prospect for their fresh venture. Her days are quiet routines, rarely seen.
Miu opts to accept and moves toward the rendezvous where an eclectic group of other hopefuls arrive, each summoned by their own missives. Soon the girls are led by a manager to an opulent hidden complex, where they learn they must obey the enigmatic commands of "The Wall," whose directives are unquestionable. They are instructed that the Wall's influence extends beyond stage.
On December 24, 2016, idols will emerge unlike any before; that day the unit 22/7 will launch, regardless of whether Miu and the others feel prepared to step onto the stage.
