Four years after the release of Daisan Hikou Shōjotai, Musashino Animation—widely referred to as "Musani"—finds itself in a precarious position. The sudden halt of an ambitious venture plunged the studio into financial distress, prompting many employees to depart. Since that point, Musani has struggled to produce noteworthy titles and its former brilliance has faded. Though she remains hopeful, producer Aoi Miyamori refuses to let the situation persist. Fortunately, a chance emerges in the form of SIVA, an original feature film slated for debut in ten months.
Meanwhile, Aoi"s colleagues confront their own career hurdles: animation supervisor Ema Yasuhara battles a demanding timetable; reporter‑and‑voice actress Shizuka Sakaki feels dissatisfied by the scarcity of anime gigs; screenwriter Midori Imai has yet to rediscover inspiration after a prior setback; and 3D artist Misa Toudou worries that her intense enthusiasm might impede progress.
In an industry rife with obstacles and unpredictability, the five women are determined to push forward along a tough journey—potentially bringing them closer to realizing their collective aspiration.
