Koto is a traditional Japanese musical instrument. It is stringed, bulky, and unpopular. What could attract an ordinary schoolboy with a head full of wind and a smartphone in his hands? Its magical sound, but what else! And although Takézo Kurata became a member of the school koto club, as he initially thought by mistake that it was worth getting involved—and the world around him sounded anew. Time passed, and now the students who poured their souls into the club"s activities are graduating, leaving Kurata completely alone. Now he is the new president, and those who want to learn how to play the koto during the day with fire cannot be found. But then before Kurata appears Chika Kudo—a sharp and rough guy about whom bad rumors circulate. Without unnecessary words, he dealt with the school bullies who had occupied the koto club room, and he hands Kurata an application to join the club! Another troublemaker! Is he joking? But Chika"s motives turn out to be much more serious than they first appear. And his joining the club sets off a chain of events in which many people, intoxicated by the dream of achieving their own special, magical sound, will participate from then on.
