Shinya Kougami keeps roaming the Southeast Asian Union (SEAUn), staying out of sight from Japan"s Sibyl System. While passing through the Tibet‑Himalayan Alliance Kingdom, he meets Guillermo Garcia, a commander of a paramilitary force striving to consolidate local groups and restore peace in the war‑scarred country. Suspicious of becoming part of another mercenary band, Kougami refuses to join Garcia"s mission but consents to be escorted by one of his men toward the nearby Tibetan capital.
Yet Kougami"s intention to stay detached is cut short when a convoy of refugees is attacked by armed insurgents. Among the survivors is Tenzing Wangchuck, a half‑Japanese, half‑Tibetan girl. After witnessing Kougami single‑handedly neutralize the assailants, Wangchuck asks him to teach her combat skills so she can strike back at the warlord who killed her family.
Aware that taking a life irrevocably changes one"s identity, Kougami hesitates at first. But confronted with a girl whose thirst for vengeance echoes the dark void within his own soul, he must decide whether to train her.
