Lina and Gourry head to the coastal village of Acassi, famed for its octopus tentacle delicacy. Yet the seafood is tainted with a spell that forces anyone who eats it to speak only Takogo, the language of octopi. When Amelia, Zelgadiss, and Xelloss arrive, Lina, Gourry, Ameria, and Zelgadiss all fall victim to the curse. The octopi summon a mazoku"s power to eliminate humans forever. To rescue the town, white sorceress Ruma must seek her vanished master"s teachings to break the enchantment for the safety of all future generations forever.
