Candy returns to Pony's Home where she encounters a girl who has lost her parents and isolates herself from the other children. To lift her spirits, Candy chooses to share her own story—from the day Miss Pony and Sister Lane discovered her, through her choice to depart the English boarding school, and onward toward forging her own destiny for a brighter future.
