Young Takashi Natsume inherited the Friendship Notebook, in which his grandmother, the great sorceress Reiko, recorded the names of yokai spirits defeated in battle and who had sworn obedience. Takashi, having seen the unseen world from an early age, faced many hardships, but he made good use of his gift. Even after losing his parents, the boy did not become bitter, did not proclaim himself chosen, nor did he seek revenge against anyone. He began helping spirits by freeing them from the notebook"s curse, and at the same time decided not to withdraw from people, striving to behave like an ordinary schoolboy. Living that way proved difficult but possible. As high school drew to a close, it became clear that the hero"s determination had borne fruit. Friends appeared around him – some knew Takashi as a normal, though quiet, guy, and to those closest who could understand he entrusted his greatest secret. After many glorious deeds, Natsume"s name became widely known in the magical world – and, unfortunately, attracted the attention of serious players. Among both human mages and spirits there are those who wish to rise at the expense of others, of course with the most "noble" goals. We know where good intentions lead, and soon we will see what Natsume and his friends will do!
