In the shadow of crumbling castle walls, the notorious King of Cats reigned. Known for his brutal temper, he now berated his three henchmen who had failed to retrieve Pero. The ex‑servant of the wrathful monarch once resided in Cat Country, yet he had risked everything to rescue a mouse from death. Since mice are the sworn foes of all felines, the king commanded his men to scour the world for Pero. The cat, however, was carefree and stylish.
Fleeing from the king"s fury, Pero set out toward the untamed western frontier. On his journey he encountered the royal gunmen hot on his trail, but he outwitted them and continued unruffled. While riding a stagecoach bound for Go‑Go Town, he met Annie—a striking young woman returning after completing her studies in the East—and Jimmy, a boy with sleepy eyes and sluggish movements.
Suddenly, robbers attacked, intent on capturing the new sheriff. With no sign of the official aboard, they fled. In town, Annie received grim news: her father had been slain by the Big Bad Boss for exposing his counterfeit money scheme. The boss also eliminated every incoming sheriff to keep control of the settlement, determined to hold the town in his grasp. He tried to frighten Annie into leaving, but as her father"s daughter she refused to be cowed. Together with Pero and Jimmy, she opened a restaurant in the building her father had owned.
Once more, Pero rescued a small Indian mouse trapped by a snare. The mouse"s father, the Chieftain of the Indian mice, pledged assistance to Pero and Annie. Jimmy turned out to be the new sheriff after all. The trio united, unveiling the Big Boss"s deceitful money factory and exposing his tyranny. The villain was brought to justice, and peace settled over the land.
