Set in Mobile Century 8013, the anime"s plot follows a world where humanity was eradicated more than seven thousand years ago. The combat robots, for war, persist in a conflict that shows no signs of ending. This endless battle has drawn in the Rebellion Federation, which governs Europe, and the Principality of Shin, a state based in Asia.
