When Leoleshea, a dragon deity, is inadvertently roused from her slumber inside a glacier, she commands the finest game master of this age to appear before her. After a year of waiting, she encounters Fay Theo Philus, an apostle—a mortal endowed with a mystical gift called Arise—granting him the right to challenge the gods in contests. Fay and Leoleshea discover a shared love for games, whether through cards or a duel of intellect against a deity. Expressing affection for the human, Leoleshea permits Fay to address her as 'Leshea' and partners with her for divine tournaments, promising a partnership that could reshape destiny. Since the gods enabled mortals to contest them, they vowed to grant any wish after ten triumphs. Leshea seeks to regain her divine rank, having once descended to the mortal realm and forfeited her status. Fay's sole aim is locating the woman who long ago taught him the art of play, a quest that binds their fates. Although Leshea and Fay quickly prove an adept duo, the gods will not grant them ten wins so readily: each game carries distinct conditions and concealed rules. Together, they must function as an impeccable team, combining strategy, luck, and resolve to ultimately realize their ambitions for the future.
